The Velcro soft loop panel is a 6x7" adhesive that you can stick to any flat surface, such as under a desk or car console. When you're not using the holster on the Belly Band, you can stick it to the Soft Loop Panel.
The 'additional soft loop panel' is a 7x6 inch piece of Velcro with adhesive backing. You can use this to attach the holster to the console of a car, under a desk, on a night stand etc. This does not attach to the band as it is used separately.
